Amaretti and apple tiramisu, caffeine free
Ciocomel, a delicacy produced by our partner Mariangela Prunotto is a traditional dessert from Langhe, a region renowned for its famous wines - Barbaresco, Dolcetto, Barolo - and for its incomparable truffles.
When the apples from the organic orchard are ripe, they are cooked in open pans and blended with amaretti biscuits, cocoa and cane sugar.
This compote can be enjoyed by itself or used to add a sparkle of originality to yogurt, ice cream and all desserts. Here, for instance, we adapted the well-known tiramisu recipe for an end result that is just as tasty but much easier to prepare, caffeine free and original.
Ingredients for 4 small cups
- one cup liquid heavy whipping cream
- 1 tbsp of mascarpone cheese
- 1 tbsp of cast sugar
- 4-5 tbsp Ciocomel compote
- cocoa powder
Mix the mascarpone cheese with the cream in a bowl and start whipping. Then add the sugar and keep whipping until the cream reaches stiff peaks.
Lay 3-4 tbsp of the cream on the bottom of a big bowl or single little bowls, then add 2 tbsp of Ciocomel, continue layering and finish with the cream.
Spread the surface with cocoa powder.
